Digital Garden - Economy
As I continue to gather my seeds (notes), I find that I am often reflecting on or trying to understand the economy. Perhaps I need to focus, and really get it. It seems so complicated from where I am. The journey begins.

Like... What is it
Inflation. Taxes. Income tax. Corporate tax. Capital Gains. Printing money. I don't know. I don't even know how to talk about the economy right now but to say I think we are all getting a little screwed. Let's learn.
Random thoughts. That's all I got. It will get better.

Banks can't already send money instantly to one another...?

What if there were no more banks?

F* Money
Our current economy is based on "money". So we all end up in a game of monopoly. Most of us are not equipped to join a game decades after it started and attempt to get Park Place back from the current champions.
Why money? It is like a point system game we are all forced to play but when we join the system, there is no "reset" because a new player joined. You have to "catch up". Oh and there is a limited number of points. If we make more, it breaks everything (inflation anyone). This sounds fun. Maybe its not about winning.

What if we taught frugality in schools... or at home?

Circular
"A circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products for as long as possible." -- That sounds great! Could we?
We have heard about "recycling" and the mantra around "reduce, reuse, recycle". Perhaps this is the first heartbeat of a circular economy.

(reduce) Trying a thirty, sixty, or 90 day shopping ban?

(reuse) What about not needing money. Just giving away stuff and getting stuff... free.
